MUMBAI OPEN TENNIS TOURNAMENT 2017

CCI 'A' finished Runners-up at the Mumbai Open Inter Club Tennis Tournament organised and conducted by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) held in Nov- Dec 2017. The event saw entries from 20 leading teams in Mumbai.

In the Final, held on 10 Dec, 2017 CCI 'A' lost to MCA Club. CCI 'B' finished in 4th place.

Over 30 members represented CCI in the 3 teams that participated, which continued to be more than any other club in Mumbai.

The CCI 'A' team was represented by : Luv Kothari (Captain), Amrish Arora, Bharat Oza, Chetan Desai, Gagandeep Singh Mangat, Harsh Mankad, Intikhab Ali, Imran Yusoof, Krishank Shah, Prakash Malhotra, Rajiv Wallia, Satyapal Jain, Sanjay Jatia and Vijay Chhabria.

The CCI 'B’ team was represented by : Vikram Sampat (Captain), Bipin Vazirani, Jayesh Sampat, Kishan Shah, Nikhil Sampat, Prasad Pradhan, Rajen Sampat, Rohan Manek, Shashank Shah, Sagar Engineer and Vijay Anand.

The CCI 'C' Team was represented by : Deepak Melwani (Captain), Kishore Wadhwa, Paterasp Dubash, Sanjeev Shivdasani, Kinnar Kapadia, Devraj Mukhi, Hormuz Daruwala and Karminder Minawala.

CCI Tennis Academy to organise a Nick Bollettieri Tennis Camp

The Nick Bollettieri Tennis Camp will be held under the auspices of CCI at the club courts with one of their visiting foreign coaches.

The dates for the Camp are 11 – 14 Jan, 2018 (4 Days).  The Coaching will be conducted in 2 Batches as follows:

January 11-12  (Thu / Fri)  

3.00 p.m. – 5.30 pm

6.00 p.m. – 8.30 pm     

Jan. 13-14 (Sat / Sun) 

10.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.

 3.00 p.m. –  5.30 p.m.

This Camp has been exclusively planned for CCI Members and their Children as it would be of immense benefit to them. They will learn and get exposed to prevailing international practices in tennis training.

The program will be priced at Rs.7,000/- + Tax per trainee 

(Charges for the same would be directly debited to Members’ Account) 

Forms have been made available at the Tennis Courts or with Sachin Mahadik at the Admin Office for registration (First come first served basis - Max. 50 trainees).

CCI Tennis Academy 2018

The Tennis Sub Committee is delighted to announce the launch of the CCI Tennis Academy from January 2018. Veteran Coaches Tahir Ali, Intikhab Ali and high performance Coach Rohan Gajjar will work in tandem to impart training to the Members and Children. 

Renowned Coach Aditya Sachdeva will be the Chief Mentor for the Academy.

Forms will be available with Sachin Mahadik at the Admin Office for registration.

CCI MEMBERS TENNIS LEAGUE (CMTL) 2018.

This tournament will be a fun-filled team event, open to all players, including children and beginners. Members desirous of participating in the CCI Members Tennis League (CMTL) 2018 are requested to enter their names and contact details in the register kept at the Tennis Court from 1st January 2018.

The teams will be decided through an auction which will be held in the evening on Tue, 6th Feb 2018. Timings will be announced on the Notice Boards.

The matches will be held in the evenings on Sat, 10th and Sun, 11th Feb 2018. This will be followed by the prize distribution ceremony and dinner.  There will be no entry fee for the players.

Only those members and children who are available on all the above mentioned dates and times are requested to register for the tournament.
